Coldplay's New Album, a disappointment?

Yesterday I purchased the highly anticipated new Coldplay album. For all of the hype and anticipation, I do not think that it was worth exalted praises. Why? I think that their sound is too consistent, there is too much of the same. Although there are some standouts on the album, their sound grows old quickly and did not mature tremendously from albums past. On the third listen, the album already seems dated. The album is not a complete flop; the music is decent, but i'd say a disappointment.
