Vandaveer's Latest Album, a true "Fistful of Swoon"

I've been craving some new tunes for a while, and finally hit the jackpot this past weekend with a few new finds. This week, i've fallen in love with the music of Vandaveer, a newly discovered band. Their vocals are enchanting and their lyrics are layered with meaning. I'm hooked.

The video linked above is for the song entitled "Fistful of Swoon," a name that could just as easily describe the content of the band's sophomore album. "Divide and Conquer" is sweet and bitter to the last drop, not to mention thoughtful and creative. The mastermind behind the band's lyrics channels some of his favorite authors in his songs, displaying an active imagination and a penchant for mixed mediums. Can't say i'm not a fan for just the same sort of thing. For a more thorough look at the band, check out Paste's recent review. Paste listed this group as "Band of the Week" in late August, and i'm betting you'll be hearing more of them in coming months. Have a listen and let me know what you think.
