Primer
Well, I haven't written much lately and it's because i've been sorting through some things and don't want to prematurely draw conclusions. My head is usually churning a million miles a minute, but it's not always good to put pen to paper. Any writer who wants to really impact his/her audience must write thoughtfully and write from the truest self. Sometimes that writer is furious at the keyboard, hurriedly trying to capture the story before it is forgotten. At other times that writer is slow, precise, letting the story trickle out like sands in an hourglass that fall one by one. And still other times that same writer stares from a place of extreme rest at a whizzing bedroom fan dangling from the white ceiling above, soaking in the joy and rest of a mind truly at ease, content to leave the canvas blank for a time.
As far as the present moment is concerned, i'm increasingly content to let my thoughts settle before expounding upon them at any great length. However, here's a little glimpse of that inner world, which-mind you- is inextricably, simultaneously tied to the outer one-that world which in one shape or another takes on the form of this blog...
Three streams that are going through my thoughts in light of some recent events, readings, and conversations:
-tacit knowledge
-urban design
-metanarrative
And now, the loyal reader and the indeterminate author wait. And the wait will be good, however long it lasts.
